Looking For Eric

Undoubtedly the best movie i watched in these 2 months;touching,intense...
The way Eric's showed, the influence of a Charismatic superstar on troubled working class man ....
It's hard for me to discriminate ;the cinema and Picture quality and the emotional impact and relation;as i 'm a united fan who adores Cantona;
It's inevitable ,i found a very loveable personal connection with the movie;even though it's not my favorite genre...but once again;it's a honest film making that comes first.
The contrast between superstar's concept of life ,facing challenges ,etc and an ordinary postman.
Credit to Steve Evet (i love the accent)

...and
King Eric of course !

To be , or not to be

To be,or not to be:that is the question
wether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them.To die:to sleep;
No more;and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache ,and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to,'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd.to die,to sleep;
To sleep:perchance to  dream:aye,there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off the mortal coil,
Must give us pause:there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong,the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office ,and spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin?who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life ,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country from whose bourn
No traveler returns,puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sickied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action

The Conformist (1970)

the conformist
One of the movies i watched this week for the second time;and i contently discovered deeper layer of it. The Conformist is really superb film. The post-war dilemma in  Mrcello's ideology;  a complicated issue Bertoucci pointed his finger at .I think he has a unique artistic angle;look how he 's critisized  1968 movement (The Dreamers) and how  beautifully dissected the anatomy of Love (Besieged)
Now it's time to analyse what it means to be The Conformist in the Fascist era.
Finally luminous-landscape.com highlighted the movie as Bertolucci's most intriguingly photographed film.

My Album of the Month(February)

Riverside: Reality Dream 2008
A collection of polish metal/rock band songs.I found the band really exciting;the composure of songs is excellent;clean vocals Mariusz Duda is quite mesmerizing.Guitar riffs reminds are poweful and the music is all you expect from a Progressive genre pioneer. Influences of Pink Floyd ,Camel.Deep Purple is noticeable but Riverside create their own sound either. Some parts they intend to pay tribute to Progressive Rock giants for example the song Back to the River contains an excerpt from Pink Floyd's Shine on your Crazy Diamond.
My favorite tracks are:
  1-The Same River
  2-Conceiving You
  3-I Turned You Down
Overall i give realty dream an 8/10

Waves of Silent Ovation

Dark Demon Steals the  light
As my path turned dimmer
I began to slumber
to choose the wrong way

Everything's unfamiliar now

Signs used to glister
And ensure my heart
but now...

Foray of hopelessness
Mire of sorrow
A child  forgotten and torn
A rime left in ruin

Who
Seizes this day?
who
Claims the stray?

A world
left to be honored
with miracles
Now faces the puke of buffoons

How
I loath this searching beyond skies
A mound of Surmises
Made by slack minds

Blotches on my hands
Days of utter labor
Acts of selflessness

These are the signs
I belive in
These are the signs
For the capricious grace

As demon
Steals the light

Signs

Be my sun
Be the sun of the sleepless

be the blood
for this pale existance

When nephilim strikes
Be the hope for the lost soul

Take their hand
Heal the lamented soul

Does this  remind you of amnesty?

They look at the sky
Rain
or the Lighting

Signs of a Redemption
It depends
Who wants to interpret...
