The Exploding Girl : An Oddly Tranquil Experience

i enjoyed watching this movie for the second time ,with my family.
The story line is pretty simple ;a cracked relationship between Ivy and her boyfriend(followed by some phone calls) and a blossoming relationship with her longtime guy pal Al.(Mark Rendall).
The movie is minimal in terms cinematic expression ,yet it conveys a purely humanistic message through some deliberate facial expressions or some ultra-slow story telling style.It might seem weird but "The Exploding Girl " reminded me of Robert Bresson movies.It was one of best samples of american independent film making prospect. Just like Carrie Ricky(Inquirer Movie critic) described "An oddly tranquil experience".

Dog Pound I

I watched "Dog Pound" for the second time with Ardeshir . Eventually it becomes clear what a great movie it is .No matter how it is received publicly or how the critics reacted ,i will consider Kim Chapiron's second movie as one the most decent movies i've watched in months.
It was a good night all about family,friends and cinema

Green Zone

I watched Green Zone with Ardeshir last night. It can be categorized as modern anti-war movies in criticism of  Iraq war .Weapons of mass destruction is sited as the main objective in military operation in middle eastern country .But as the  missions progress several speculations and reports turns out to be deceptive .The movie is based on a solid ground of valid knowledge  about current vulnerable equilibrium of power and prominence of tribal structure. Therefore i 'd rather rank the movie  higher than pure-action type.Green Zone represents an anti-war insight which questions the truthful concern behind the troubled invasion.On the other hand the movie lean too much on Matt Damon's starring . In my opinion the role defined for Damon as a chief warrant officer is a little bit exaggerated .A hunt for truth solely lead by Damon in the context of iraq war chaos is unrealistic.
