My Album Of the Month (December)
I like Sonny's voice and the bands total oufit. They definitely resemble a unique christian identity which is something odd for band involved in main stream stuff.
P.O.D has a certain personal sound, an interesting history of its own ,and a thematic plot to which they are sentimentally committed .
What makes them detestable to some,is the claimed high dose of ideologic or religious content in lyrics.Personally i haven't noticed any unbidden note in P.O.D' s music or words, anything which intrudes the music or ruin the authentic sound of the band.
Sonny's background role as an inspiration is a inseparable part of band's identity.
Greatest Hits (Atlantic Years ) contains 17 tracks.
Albums highlights : Going In Blind (which was previously unreleased) and Goodbye For Now are two memorable songs which has been played on my i-pod frequently.
But recently i found some other superb songs:
"Youth of The Nation" which has a sore social theme ,
"Rock The Party( Off The Hook ) : a fair mix of Hip Hop and Metal music aggression,
"Execute The Sounds" with the uplifting spirit again with glowing influences from hip hop province,
There are two other tracks which sounds pleasant to me mostly because of Sonny's impressive vocals:
"Sleeping Awake" and "Set Your Eyes To Zion"
This post is dedicated to Sonny , Wuv , Traa , Marcos and of course Jason Truby.
For all the color you added to these pale lines of mine!
Thank You Warriors !
