Biograph mMR: MRI and PET are one

Body

At RSNA a new system was unveiled, Biograph™ mMR*, the world's first integrated whole-body molecular MR with simultaneous data acquisition technology, currently undergoing clinical-use testing in Europe.

With this system, Siemens has brought together state-of-the-art 3T MRI and PET technology to enable simultaneous acquisition of both modalities – exquisite morphology, function and metabolism assessed in a single image.
Along with this exciting launch, Siemens highlighted the new imaging software syngo.via** and the commitment to reduce radiation dose across the entire spectrum of imaging and therapy.

*Biograph mMR is pending 510(k) review and is not commercially available in the U.S.

**syngo.via can be used as a stand-alone device or together with a variety of syngo.via-based software options which are medical devices on their own rights. These products are pending regulatory clearance in some countries and therefore not yet commercially available in all countries. In particular the products are not yet available for sales in Brazil.

*** syngo.via can be used anywhere if the following prerequisites are met: Internet connection to a clinical network, DICOM compliance, meets minimum hardware requirements and adherence to local data security regulations.
